Stein Fjell is involved in a wide variety of special events throughout the year, featuring both traditional and contemporary cultural, social, and community programs with a unique Norwegian-American flavor.

May 20: Syttende Mai (May 17th – Norwegian Constitution Day) Celebration; includes a picnic and parade. 12 noon, Chilson Center, Loveland. $10 per person (children under sixer - Free
June ??: Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, Bond Park, Estes Park – Colorado lodges participate in this summer solstice festival of light, flowers, food, and music. Information is at estesmidsummer.com. The festival is usually open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. This is a free event; no admission fee.
October ??: Lutefisk Dinner – traditional Norwegian foods prepared and served by members and friends of the lodge; Butikken with Scandinavian gifts, and baked goods for sale. Faith Church, Loveland.
December 8: Juletrefest (Christmas Tree Party) – family party with good food, Julenisse, and singing around the tree. Will include a very short Lodge meeting after the festivities. Gertrude Scott Room, Loveland Library.
January ??: Stein Fjell’s 43rd Anniversary – celebration of our lodge and its members; socializing, reminiscing, recognizing Viking of the Year and years of membership.
February ??: Barneløpet (Children’s Race), Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA , Granby. This is a cross-country ski event for young people and their families, organized by lodges on Colorado’s Eastern Slope. Every youth receives a medal at the finish line, where enthusiastic, cheering supporters ring bells and wave flags. In addition, the entire family may participate in ski orienteering.
